MTRX Studio intermittently cutting out...

Hey there,

It seems every 30-60 minutes my monitors go silent for a couple seconds. No clicks pops or anything, just silent and then back on again. I feel like it started after upgrading the MTRX Studio's firmware last month. Any thoughts as to what the issue might be?

That sounds like a clocking issue, or some other issue with configuration.

Post pictures of your DADman settings and Dante controller.
Also describe how you have everything connected.

Thanks for the reply James.

Attached are pix of the DADman Conf Settings, second post will have the Dante Controller Settings (each tab). I noticed that when I had a cut out it was logged as an Event at the time of the cut out.

As far as connections go. I'm running Aux IO out of PT to Dolby Renderer back into PT then out DigiLink to DADman then out of MTRX Studio analog to monitors. Mac Studio goes out Dante into DADman as a second source.

EEE is Energy Efficient Ethernet. If EEE is enabled, which it is by default on most switches, the switch will "power off" a network port if there is no traffic on the port until there is traffic again. This process can cause problems for Dante, so check the switch configuration to make sure it is disabled.

I don't see any settings for EEE on my switch.

I've had lots of intermittent drop outs with Aux I/O. Is it possible that that might be the cause? Maybe keep an eye on the renderer's and Pro Tool's meters to see if there is any discontinuity there?
