I've talked to all parties concerned and understand now what happened.

The tech that initially replied to your email didn't know that this upgrade was not available in the Digistore. To be fair, this particular upgrade was not something he was trained on yet, mainly because it's an offer that is rarely asked about and there are far more prevalent and important training for techs. Also, the email request should have been sent to a specific tech that handles these upgrades - why that didn't occur we're not sure, but we're looking into it.

The Digistore wouldn't know anything about this because they don't handle it. They have more than enough info and details to keep in their heads without adding additional information about upgrades they should never have to deal with.

As for the response time - indeed you are correct in that the tech had to contact our U.S. support team (where the request should have gone in the first place) to get the details. You should receive a response shortly.

All you should need to do is follow the instructions from our site:

http://www.digidesign.com/index.cfm?...4&itemid=36853

Special "Combination Upgrades" to Complete Production Toolkit

In addition to the upgrades listed above (sold only on the DigiStore), a special offer for registered owners of both Music Production Toolkit and DV Toolkit 2 to upgrade to the Complete Production Toolkit is available by special order only from Digidesign Customer Service.

If you are the original registered owner of both toolkits, please contact Digidesign Customer Service Administration via our online Support Center. Please include your name, address, and the iLok.com user account which has your current Music Production Toolkit and DV Toolkit 2 authorizations. Type "Complete Production Toolkit Upgrade" in the Subject field, and choose "Software Upgrade Eligibility" in the Question Topic 2 pull-down list.

Well.. i'm happy to say there's been some good new... just received a reply from the Digi guys this morning with an upgrade price.

The guys in Australia didn't know anything about it, so they had to contact the US to get it worked out.

It's a great deal for $200... looking fwd to 95% HD functionality on my LE rig.

And as for Australia... someone in California once asked me how long it took to drive there...

Yeah, here in California we drive everywhere and we love our cars. We literally do drive a few houses down the street rather than walk. Someone once said that we'd spend several minutes driving around a parking lot to find a closer parking space at the gym to avoid the extra walking. If we can't drive there, it probably doesn't really exist. Good thing Rode mics come from Australia otherwise the audio world will only know about Australia through Air Supply. Just kidding.
