No issues yet with PT, S1, or Resolve.

I did an in-place upgrade, so everything was still installed. All my plugins were there and the ones I've used so far still work.

Drivers for my audio interfaces were still installed and worked.

Only issue I've had is the Start menu stops responding every once and awhile randomly. In that case I right-click it and choose Search and type in the name of the program I want. And then the Start menu works again

Pro Tools functionally runs fine on windows 11, any issues I have come from unresolved bugs that got carried over from windows 10. (There are a few) It's pretty much the same windows but with a fresh coat of paint.

So after doing some further testing this weekend this is what I found.

First to be able to get the Windows 11 upgrade via Windows Update you must be running Windows 10 Build # 2004 64bit or higher and if your system meets all of the minimum hardware requirements after that then it will allow you to do the upgrade no problem.

However, on Friday October 15th Microsoft finally released the Media Creation Tool for Windows 11 so you can be able to create an ISO image or a bootable USB drive for example to do a clean install of it so I decided to give that a try on some of my test equipment that couldn't be upgraded to see if that might work. I will note that none of my test equipment has a CPU that is officially supported but what I found was that as long as the device had the TPM 2.0 module it didn't care about the CPU at all and it would let me install Windows 11 no problem. Then after the clean install completed and it was able to download drivers from Windows Update and whatnot everything seems to be working and Windows Activation also indicates it is running a legit license too.

I haven't had a chance to test Pro Tools on Windows 11 yet but once I do I will report any issues I might find.

Not in all cases. See post #24 above.

I just slapped PT on my new Win11 laptop and loaded up 16 tracks of pink noise with 5 dverbs on each track. Its running without errors at a 128 buffer, which is not bad considering I did zero optimising on the system. The only thing I noticed is the menu names are cut off slightly.

Sounds about on par with my experience so far. The bugs were also on the windows 10 version. PT runs but according to avid will cut off your file menu if you go above 1080p which, for $400 a year is quite impressive.

I'm running 1080 on the laptop and it cuts off all of the menus.
Maybe its the 240Hz refresh?

Re. text cutoff - are either of you using scaling?

I've seen using scaling cause that effect in other applications.

FWIW, I'm using a 3440x1440 monitor without this issue,
Joel

Yeah, its usually scaling that causes the issue, not necessarily the resolution.
