Default no multimedia devices!?

I am getting the dae error 6008. The bigger problem is that I have nothing in my multimedia properties menu. I have 2 full duplex cards installed (sb live and echo mona). How can I get my mona card into my multimedia properties menu so that I can make the appropriate settings? I have tried all other suggestions with no luck and feel this is the bigger problem. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!

John, is the second card actually functioning? In Control Panel > System > Devices, is either card showing a red X or a yellow exclamation mark? Occasionally installing 2 of something (e.g soundcard, display card) requires the user to manually alter the IRQ of one device to avoid a conflict.
