Default Getting Songs on a cd(please help!)

this is probably an extremely stupid question.

How do I get what I record into a format that I can put on a cd?

When I bounce the song to a disk, it converts the song to a WAV file. The WAV file will not play, when i try i get a an error message on windows media, and on sound recorder i just can't push the play button. the only way I can get the song to play is to encode it to an mp3 file.

Well THEN i try to decode the song back to wav so i can put it on a cd, it won't even begin to decode. So I am stuck.

How can I burn it on to a cd?
Thanks for all the help.

Eric

You need to make sure you're bouncing to a 16-bit, 44.1khz stereo wave file. That is the only data format which can be written to an audio CD.

and don't forget you need to configure your burner to write an audio CD, not a data CD. For instance, if you're using adaptec, creating a CD that can be accessed through the file system (one of the wizard options) will create a DATA CD, not an audio CD (an altogether different writing standard). Also remember that most audio CD players will not play a CD till the session is closed.

Also make sure to bounce as a single stereo file(best for masterlist) this will bnc it as a stereo interleaved file ready to go to CD. As memtioned before make sure you are also bouncing 44.1k/16 bit. Hope this helps
