AAE error 6 on PT 12

Yes, and a few months ago I could fix the AAE error 6 by removing the WavesShell. Now this doesn''t help anymore, but removing Brainworx plugins helps.

Can you try deleting waves plugins preferences and cache ?
You can use guitardom app trasher 12 to make it easy .

I saw the error 6 on a friend computer that has no bx plugins yesterday . After doing all the things mentioned here i deleted waves pref. and cache with the trahser ultility and it went away instantly . Maybe will work for you maybe no, but try it .

I wrote to Plugin Alliance and offered my help, because I can reproduce this 100%. They forwarded my infos to the development team but I have no news until now. Even if deleting the Waves prefs helps there must be a reason why it doesn't show the error after removing the bx plugins. My thought is that it could be a problem with the USB stick that holds the licenses of Waves and PA. This is one thing both plugin sellers have in common on my system. PT is very sensitive about USB drives on PC, especially when the drive letters change from time to time. So be sure to apply dedicated letters to all your drives. I will let you know when I get an answer from PA.

Can you authorize Waves and PA to your hard drive and see if that helps?

Hi, any remedy on this? I am using PT 12.8 on a Win 7x64 PC and am also getting the AAE 6 error when inserting PA plugins in my sessions. I have followed all the suggestions by PA and the the forum users without success. I can also duplicate the issue 100% of the time. Deleting the caches only works for a minute, then its back. I have all my PA plugins licensed on my computer but I'm wondering if the iLok is considered a USB. If so us PT users are screwed.

Have you deleted the Wave Cache file located in the session folder? I ask because there is more than one cache file.

More of to the point that PA need to get their plugins fixed and working correctly. They need to stop making excuses and promoting work arounds to their problems.
