ProTools HD Record Option
We're interested in utilizing our HD record option. Couple of questions to throw out there:
-What is the maximum sampling rate of the HD record? I know it's 48 kHz in the D-Show system, but wasn't sure if that translated to outside the system as well. -How many tracks can I pull down using an HD 1 system? HD 2? -Having an Accel card included with my system won't allow better tracking or playback, will it? My understanding is that an Accel card will only supply more DSPs for utilizing plug-ins and to improve editing. Thanks for any help you can offer! Re: ProTools HD Record Option
48kHz is the sample rate of Pro Tools when connected to HDx.
HD1 will get you 32 tracks (Stage 1: 1-32 only) HD2 will get you 64 tracks (Stage 1: 1-48 plus 16 assignable) HD3 will get you 96 tracks (above plus Stage 2: 1-32) HD4 will get you 128 tracks (Stage 1 and 2: 1-48 plus 32 assignable) You are right, an Accel card won't make much difference if you are only recording. -Matt
