Default DAE deck problem please help

im running on a g4 osx its compadible and pro tools 6.0.1 but every time i try to launch now i get
unable to creat DAE deck its pluged in properly it was working fine two days ago im stumpted i have tryed
uninstalling and reinstalling nothing is working.

I have had this happen before. What interface are you using ? 001, 002r, 002 etc. Mine turned out to be simply a bad firewire cable. Once I replaced this, it linked with my Pro Tools.If you have another firewire cable, you might try it.
