Re: lagging mouse ergggggg
How about taking another look at the Help Us Help You page that is linked to header of every page in this forum? I do not and have never experienced anything you describe on macOS.

Unsure if I've said something out of line here - have I missed something?

Re: lagging mouse ergggggg
Only thing we know about your current setup is Zoom, Chrome and PT 2023.6

Re: lagging mouse ergggggg
I'd be interested if other people had the same issues as me. Running Chrome, Zoom, OBS and Pro Tools seems to batter the graphics processor, but I'd expect M1 to be able to handle a few processes running at the same time as low track count Pro Tools session.
Please move this if it's in the wrong forum. |

Re: lagging mouse ergggggg
I also have a fully loaded (incl. 10Gbit ethernet) M1 Mac Mini and latest macOS & other software. I am using Bluetooth keyboard and trackpad, but have never experienced lagging mouse. I do not use Chrome nor Zoom.
I suggest you backup and do a clean install of your software. Do not use any kind of migration tool but install everything manually and copy files back from the backup. On another note, are you using iCloud desktop with slow internet?

Re: lagging mouse ergggggg
It's deffo something to do with hardware acceleration - if I turn off Hardware Acceleration in Chrome, and/or I turn off Enable GPU in Pro Tools, things go back to normal. There's loads of RAM left, plus the swap on an NVME is fast, so I can't imagine it's RAM. Changing GPU processing of apps makes a night and day difference.
