Avid HD Driver
Hello,
If anybody can answer the following :"Go to System Preferences > Energy Saver (on a desktop computer) or System Preferences > Battery (on a laptop) and make sure that Prevent computer from sleeping automatically when the display is off is checked and that the Turn display off after slider is set to Never". Does this mean always (no sleep) or just during install ? Thanks |

Re: Avid HD Driver
It's been saying to do that forever, but I personally have not had any problems letting the computer go to sleep automatically.

Re: Avid HD Driver
It's definitely a thing to be avoided if using HD Native or HDX. That hardware and the Avid HD Driver don't support Sleep and will cause the computer to lock or crash after waking up from Sleep, even if Pro Tools isn't launched.
