Default more -9129 errors during bounce to disk

Hello,

Recently during playback, bounce and recording, I constantly get error -9129: held off interrupts for too long, conflict with other CPU tasks. I have just read sydstyle's post from 03/06/05 and Jack London's reply, but I need more help!

I would be so grateful if anyone had further advice on how to fix this..

I work with PT 6.1 on Windows XP SP2, on an IMB Thinkpad with an MBox.

Thank you

dlae

You should try the free upgrade to 6.4..It fixed a lot of the BTD errors..

I don't know if this applies because I can't remember the error number I received..but during a bounce to disk the track would get to the bitter end and I would get an interupt. I found that making sure my master channel fade did NOT extend past the longest file it would bounce fine. If my fade was a second or so past the longest track file it would interupt. Removing the fade on the master channel altogeter also worked fine.

One more thing ..I recently tried turning off XPs disk indexing and am running much smoother with fewer stops. I have a post here on this issue and am awaiting any replies on whether this is a safe procedeure or not.

Indexing services are not needed for PT.

Do you mean volume automation type fading?
True fades are only used on audio tracks.
Interesting observation, however.
That says that automation beyond the bounce region can cause a crash in the BTD subroutine.
Anyone care to qualify this and report it to Digi CS?
