Interrupt errors -9092/ -9093/ -9094/ -9129

I was working on a session last night, took a break to do some house work. When I came back to the session, I started receiving 'held off interrupt too long' errors (-9092/ -9093/ -9094/ -9129). I couldn't ever playback 16 tracks for more than 10 seconds!

Well, after much swearing, it occurred to me that the only thing I had done since PT was working correctly was to run the dishwasher and the clothes drier. So I shut them off, and suddenly, no more errors. I can't tell you how shocked I was.

My guess is that the AC level was fluctuating just enough to cause problems with my computer.

So all is back to normal....

i will try to explain this in laymen terms if at all possible.

First of all one thing that household appliences do not advertise (and are not legally bound to publish publicly) is that many of these appliences produce a great deal of emi (electro magnetic interference). Basically emi is a pretty term for radio active emmisions. Have you ever noticed that kitchens and washrooms are kept at a distance from bedrooms??? Well this is actually from a study done in the 70's that showed a correlation between lab rats developing brains tumors when living on, or in 300 ft of most of these appliences. I mean non constant exposure to these appliences usually is not too harmful to the body, but they can produce negative effects on other household appliences (like cordless phones, lighting fixtures, thermostats, and even the house line if wired near the applience). Basically the kenetic energy from the amount of water thats moved in these appliences, in addition to the speed at which the water and other parts of the machinery move creates a massive electro magnetic force that can cause massive problems. Next time you look at your applience you will most likely see (unless its worn off or hidden which is illegal) an fcc complience label talking about how it complies with the regulations for that particular type of appliance.

Anyway i would not room a studio within 300 (i wouldnt do it within 500) ft of any of the water based appliences.

I started to fall for the 'emi' stuff...but once you started to talk about moving water causing problems....the game was up!

Anyhow, my guess, is it was the surge in power to start the various cycles (or just run them) that was taking power away from the computer...and say instead of having 110 volts of power, I had maybe 109. (Just a guess)

Of course, one must consider the "dark sucker" theory behind the technology found in lightbulbs and other light producing technology. Everyone thinks that lightbulbs emmit light, when in fact, they suck darkness. The electrical element in a lightbulg simply creates an electrical field which attracks and captures the dark molecules in a room, which are in turn replaced with light.

If the dark suckers are not correctly aligned they can cause the errors you are referring to. It is my experience that flourescent dark suckers are the cause of most of the 90XX errors in my system, so I replaced them with the incandescent dark suckers...everything works so much better now.
