Default > Sonnex and Waves PIs - not playing nice together in MacPro

My notes below if interested:

Summary:
ProTools displays DSP resource errors (I believe it was 7077 and 7024 errors) and will not allow more of certain plugins to be instantiated, even though there are as many as 7 DSP chips still available.

Apparent Cause:
Interaction between Sony Oxford Reverb and certain Waves plugins

Background:
- Found a number of sessions that displayed DSP resource shortages when loading on my current system (HD3 Accel PCI-e on Mac Pro 2.66 Intel), even though there were 7 DSP chips left available yet they loaded fine with my previous system (HD3 Accel PCI-x on G5 Dual 2.5). In these cases it was waves Plugins such as C4 or RVerb that did not load and were there made inactive at startup.
- I removed all plugins from the plugins folder, opened the session, so all plugins were made inactive, and then saved the session. I shut down ProTools, restored the plugins folder, restarted ProTools and began trying different combinations of active plugins trying to find the magic combination that broke things. It became apparent the Sony Oxford Reverb with Waves was the culprit.
- To verify, I created a new session, loaded it with C4 until all DSPs were full. Made C4 instances inactive until there were a number of DSPs open. Then I tried to instantiate Sony Oxford Reverb and was unable due to a shortage of DSP resources. I tried the Accel and non-Accel as well as the mono and mono/stereo versions all to no avail.
- I reduced C4 further until I could instantiate an instance of the Sony Oxford Reverb (8 open DSPs). I then started to reactivate C4 and soon received the DSP resource Error even though many of the DSP chips (6 or 7) were still available. Making the Sony Oxford Reverb inactive enabled me to once again fill all the DSPs with C4.

Test System Description
- Mac Pro 2.66 GHz 4GB RAM
- OS X 10.4.9
- HD3 PCIe
- ProTools v7.4
- 2 x 192 i/o both with additional A/D cards & 1 x ADAT bridge.

Versions of Plugins in Question (Plugins Folder)
- SonyOxfordReverb.dpm v1.4.1
- Waveshell-DAE_5.9.1.dpm and 5.9.5

Anyone else using Sony Oxford Reverb with Waves plugins like C4 on a MacPro of similar configuration? Are you seeing this problem?
