Question SO... Programs, System Cache or Background Services?

From the Digidesign Windows XP Optimization Guide:
"Then click on the Advanced tab and set both Processor Scheduling and Memory Usage to 'Programs.' "

Yet, we're taught by 97 different audio/DAW websites that Processor Scheduling and Memory Usage should be set to Background Services and System Cache, respectively...

I'm confused. Which one is it, then?
