Default Need to recover lost session information

PTLE 7.3 Win XP user. Mixing a cleaning up and adding tracks and just started mixing session over a couple month period. Was saving constantaly. My system is very stable. At the end I was trying something new trying to get drumagog to trigger a midi signal out to drumcore (because I have some great samples in drumcore and not enough good samples for drumagog yet). I had to load some patch from midiyoke site to use as a midi patch. I still couldn't get it to work. Anyway, the next time I went to open up the session, everything was gone. Like a brand new session. When I imported the last backup, none of the session information is there. It is back to the original files that I started with. I can see the various fades and regions but I didn't do any consolidations when I was cleaning up tracks so it would almost be impossible to figure out what drum regions were the ones I was using. I can't believe I can't get the session information back from one of the backups. I see 55 different backups and recent too so based on the backups I wouldn't think I would have lost that much data. I lost all fades, automation, new plugings, etc. I did search the boards and didn't find anything specific to my situation. I would appreciate some help or direction to a link that would help. Thanks!
