Well....
Just got a computer for Christmas, a Dell E521, with Athlon 64X 2 2.0 gz and 1. gig RAM 250 gigs memory. I feel like I've done everything possible to try and get my Mbox and PTLE6.4 to work without the 9093 errors, they pop up everytime I try to record! MAJOR ANNOYANCE! I'm thinking of selling and getting Something that works! I've Done all the recommendations on DUC as far as windows set up I've downloaded Hotfix and dual core optimizer I've done nost of the things on this website www.musicxp.net tuning tips for your computer. Should I upgrade to PT7.LE, however it seems that everybody is having problems with that too! I'm getting realy tired of trouble shooting this, and I don't want to pay $3.00 a minute to Digidesign tech support! I'm still getting those ratty 9093 errors, soemthing in my computer is running causing it to do that! Could it be my Virus software, I'm removing shortly. I know I should buy an external or separate hard drive, but I know it will still give me the problems! contact guitarlancer@hotmail.com Please help anyway you can. BTW it took me 3 weeks to even get on this DUC and that added to my headache! |

Start here: General Troubleshooting thread
I would also definitely recommend upgrading to a version that is capable of using the dual core architecture (7.0 or above).

You're kidding me, right?
There are so many things wrong with that that I don't even know where to start, and most of them are covered on the very first suggestion in the Gen troub thread... you missed some very basic compatibility information;
Those two items are your main problem. until you resolve those issues, anything else is just fluff.

So you're saying that using media center is the biggest prob to start.
I really do appreciate your help. Hopefully Dell will come through and help me upgrade my window operating system since they assured my parents that this would work with Protools. |

Actually, not having a separate physical hard drive for audio is probably what's causing your initial problem in the first place, but yes, using Media Center can be a problem.
