anyone using mercury elite pro firewire with B&W G3?
considering this one. mercury elite pro firewire oxford 911. 80g = $199.

This is what, your 4th thread on this subject? In the future, just keep adding to your old threads, as long as it's near the top people will keep reading it - it'll help keep the DUC a little more organized and perhaps prevent people from not wanting to respond to your posts.
Any drive with the 911 oxford chipset is approved by digi, and should work just fine for you. Others have reported success with non-911 drives, and I've actually run full 24 track sessions off my iPod, but like I said, the 911 drives are the only ones actually approved by digi, so you may want to stick with those. The OWC drives are very popular and priced attractively as well, so if you don't want to do any more reading on the subject, I would say go with the one you found. Slim |
