PT 9 crash while opening PT 7.4 session
Hey, I just had a PC built with Windows 7 and a Xeon processor and I just upgraded to PT 9 from 7.4cs5 (or whatever the newest cs was). When opening my old 7.4 sessions PT freezes while gathering the .wav file overviews and I have to do a hard reset. Anyone having this problem? Any answers? Thanks.

Try holding the SHIFT key while the session opens. That will make all plugins inactive. If the session opens that way, you likely have a plugin that needs updating. For me, going from 8 to 9, any session with AutoTune(version 3) on it would crash PT.

Wow, that worked beautifully. Looks like windows, my processor, or PT 9 doesn't like the McDSP Revolver plugin. I'll look into it, but at least I can open my old sessions.
