Default Re: Trackball vs Mouse

I used to use a kensington style trackball. It only took me a few minutes on a logitech (thumb-ball style) to realize I could be much faster, with less strain on the wrist. Since then, I've purchased the same trackball for my home computer, and get queasy every time I have to use something else. I don't miss the one extra button.

Mouse? What's that? Is that like the thing we used to use with the classic mac?

The flatscreen thing that you can write on is next on the list.

I am also using the Graphire tablet and it is a tremendous time saver when you program the buttons for specific tasks.

If you're at all concerned about repetitive stress injury, it's a good idea to use different input devices, to spread the damage around a bit.

I use a trackball for my studio computer, and a mouse on my internet (and everything else) computer.
