002 R S/PDIF Output not working

I'm not sure why, but I can't get my 002 to output signal from the S/PDIF. I just got a monitor controller and I want to send a digital signal to it and have the controller do the D to A, but there's no signal. i know it's not the controller b/c my 828mkII can send s/pdif fine. is there a configuration i'm missing, or is my 002 just broken?

i went in i/o setup and checked everything i knew how but no luck. however, i can use the s/pdif IN to sync external clock, so is it possible the input is fine and the output is burned?

What are you sending to the S/PDIF output? Master fader?

yes, i was sending the master fader to the A12/s/pdif1-2 out that is the default then i alternately tried to create another s/pdif output in the i/o menu when that wouldn't work. any thoughts?


nevermind, i figured it out that it was a limitation in the digi002 that i did not know about.

Thanks. I came from a 001 and didn't know you had to set mirroring with the 002. Good to know.
