ITS TOTALLY BRILLIANT.
I will definitely be using it a lot more when Rewire is implemented in PT's 6. There is no way I could do a full mix on it (in the box) But for sheer quirky, accidental, but cool results its the Bees Knees. Its handling of audio is truly inspiring. If I had to say why I like it so much it would have to be because it handles audio just like a midi sequence. Change the tempo + or - 15-20bpm and the instant timestretching is barely noticeable. The best thing is to download the demo and see for your self. for the $$$ its an absaloute bargain |

Re: Is anyone using "Live" yet? Please give a review
Ive got Live 2, and have been using it a bit along with reason. Its tricky to set loops up sometimes because you really need to know the meter and tempo. Although I must say live makes it pretty easy to adjust. One thing is that you can use "markers" to align notes to a "grid" on your loops- this can make everythin a litle sterile though they do then loop perfectly in time. Rewire support will be nice. I can see myself setting up drum and synth sounds in reason, recording over them in PT, then bringing loops into Live for arranging. PT being non OSX native kind of holds that up for now, though I was glad to hear of the rewire support comming eventually.
Ive got a nice little loop and sample library started. Ive found a couple of ways to get things going in Live. First I set up some parts in the track window going across- drums, bass, keys etc.. Then I trigger sets of loops in record mode to "record" them into th arrange window. Then what cool about Live is that you can then go into the arrange window and cut and paste like crazy, and drag clips and loops right into that window to add things to the mix. The live mixer coul stand some work though, its not entirly intuitive, as well as the method of navigating your arrangements, its works- though its not as simple as i could be. Over all Live is pretty cool beans.
