Playback question

Sorry if this is super newb question but is there any way to "cancel" the fact that pro tools plays the edit/timeline selection in the middle of playback so it will continue playing back beyond the selection? without pausing in the middle.
seems like a logical thing to have but I can't find any way to do that.

If a feature like that doesn't exist, am I the only one who misses something like that? Let's say you're playing back a part for a client and he says "continue the playback" in the middle of playing back the selection, then you HAVE to stop and start playing again.

Dynamic Transport.
Keep it in Dynamic Transport. You can extend the playback selection while playing.

Otherwise, don't make a selection and just stop it manually.

I have Post roll set to 300 bars for this reason. As long as you aren’t looping, that will work.
