Default Can a 15 year old create a Avid account?

I have a nephew that is learning to use a DAW.
He is of course a minor by age at 15 but is a pretty solid young man.

We are trying to encourage him. His Aunt and I are considering getting him started in Pro Tools financially.
I want him to have is own account with Avid or with what ever software he should settle on. He works on my Ptools setup when he visits and likes it.

Man these young ones learn fast.

Will he be able to create his own Avid account? Is there a age restriction?

Thank you.

I don't work for Avid, but I don't recall any questions about age for creating an account, so I would go ahead and try(with you present, just in case).

He's lucky to have an uncle like you (I had to hobble together my own system when I was 15... ping-ponging between 2 cassette decks!).

Check out the sections for Rules for Users Under the Age of 16 at avid.com/legal/terms-of-use and Children at avid.com/legal/privacy-policy-statement - mostly just related to parental/guardian guidance and consent.

Thank you for your replies.
I did check out the links in regard to children. More or less make sure they have guidance and oversight.

I will consider all this but won't make a move without the parents being fully informed and them understanding they need to monitor the situation.
Reality is though the boy can run circles around them with his computer knowledge as is not always unusual in this day and age.

However Uncle has laid down some ground rules and if they aren't followed the wallet snaps closed. Basically a one strike and your out talk and he knows well enough you don't poke the grumpy ol uncle.
Thanks again.

Edit: Reply from Avid Customer Care, "Regarding with your question, We don't have age restrictions in creating an AVID Account or using any AVID Products."
