Default Suspect older session files have lost resource fork. Help!

I restored an archived session from DVDR. No errors but... nothing works! The session files will not open. I suspect the resource forks got lost somehow. Maybe some stupid idiot accidentally checked "windows file system" instead of mac or hybrid in Toast when burning the DVD's.

Where to start here?

Default Re: Suspect older session files have lost resource fork. Help!

Try creating a new session and use Import Session Data to bring in stuff from the archived session(maybe copy it to the desktop first). Enforcing PC/Mac compatibility should have no effect on it(but that doesn't mean something got corrupted in the process). Maybe start by attempting to import a few tracks at a time. If the first batch come in okay, but later ones cause a crash, then you know some of it is okay(a little good news anyway). At that point, I would import one track at a time and save constantly.

How old is the archive? Wondering if the audio files are in SD II format as I have heard about those files losing the resource fork with other folks too. Not sure what their fix was, but I think there is one, and somebody may spot this and help
