using HD omni with pro tools 10 native?
Hi.
I have a HD omni connected to a HD card in my mac - normally running pro tools 9 HD. I want to try out pro tools 10 native (NOT HD native) but i cant find my omni interface in pro tools, with our without core audio.. thanks!

Regular Protools (non-HD) will not recognize the HD card or HD interface.
You have a couple of options. You could use the Macs built in I/O, if you just want to see if there are performance improvements. If you want to hear things through your Omni (like to test out Channel Strip), the easiest thing would be to find any interface with a spidf out, and send it into the Omni using the Omni's mixer function, which will have it act as a D/A converter. You may be able to just use the SPIDF out of the Mac computer, but I'm not sure how to set this up, and you would need a special cable or adapter.
