Just ordered 2 as backups for my units as well! Great find.

Hey all

Thanks for bringing this up. I understand I'm a bit late to the party, but I have made the PSU an available service item and let the Support team know as well. TBH I am not sure why it was not originally. Going forward they should not quote for repair or replacement of the entire Carbon.

Thank you Mark for chiming sin and looking at this concern. I appreciate you doing that for me and the community.

Yeah $1100 later, but thanks for that anyway.

Wow - big thank you to loareyno - you saved me over $1200. I reported having this issue a few months ago. Never got around to shipping it because I had a gut feeling about the repair cost. Hard to trust a tech who won't tell you the issue or the work done. I never got around to putting a meter on it but just used a UA interface to hold me over.

Well, I'm glad I waited- because I just dusted it off and dropped in a new PSU. Good as new. $30 dollars, 15 minutes. I'll order a backup too.

Just need to type 709-EPP-120S-12 into Mouser's search

Figured out the problem and fixed it. Bad power supply. Mouser part# 709-EPP-120S-12 was less than $30 and took 5 minutes to fix. No soldering. I hope this isn't a duplicate post.
I have to bump this because I was having the same exact issue and this post saved me so much time and money! It was this exact part. Easy fix.

For UK people - trying to order from mouser.co.uk is actually ordering from the US, and they won't ship the parts unless you are a business, due to CE/UK regulations. MeanWell (the manufacturer) directed me to two businesses who don't stock the item.

So instead, order from RS Components.....

Same here. Hopefully I never need them, but just in case.
