Hello All - As I am getting a recently purchased pair of Venue Profiles ready to go, I have run into a few minor issues. I am hoping someone here can help or point me in the right direction.
Console #1 (Venue Profile) is giving me a Power Supply warning error. So far this is the diagnostic steps I have taken 1. Tried 2nd FOH Rack (Same Warning) 2. Changed Cable Between Surface and FOH Rack (Same Warning) 3. Changed IEC Cables (Same Warning) 4. Turned Off Each Power Supply Both In The Surface and The FOH Rack (Same Warning) 5. Gone Through Hardware Monitor. All seems well except some of the PSU values are at the upper limits of the suggested range. Console #2 (Venue Profile) is giving me an error message "Midi Not Available" when starting up. I have checked all the cables and nothing seems to be loose or out of place. Yes I know these are older systems but they are scheduled to be out on several events this year and want to make sure they are fully functional and ready for the events. Thank You in advance for your help. I have cleared out the warnings without any change in performance.

Does this happen all the time, or once in a century? "Once in a century" is a kind of normal for Profile/D-Show/SC48. All the time actually means that MIDI interface is not recognized and thus MIDI is not working. MIDI is a separate USB device inside of the FOH Rack that you can check using your computer. You can check USB port to be operational as well (an try using another one). You can exit to desktop and open device manager to see if it's recognized there. |

Not good. Is this the same error for both PSUs (when used separately)? AFAIR each IEC feed goes to a separate PSU.

With the Midi, it seems to happen once in awhile. I will go through the device manager just to check and see if there is any issues there.
With the Power Supply. I talked to the previous owner of the desks and he said it has been happening for the last few years with no actual change in operation of the consoles. I will try and seperate the power to 2 different circuits to see if that has any effect.

Sorry, when saying separately, I meant this:
1. Disconnect PSU 2, connect only PSU 1. Check if the problem happens and if so, what values are wrong. 2. Disconnect PSU 1, connect only PSU 2. Check if the problem happens and if so, what values are wrong. The goal is to find if any particular parameter's failure is bound to a specific PSU. |
