Default Focusrite ISA 428

Is anyone using the Focusrite ISA 428?
I'm looking to upgrade my front end for the 002.
With the digital option, the 428 may be the way for me to go.
I plan on adding some flavor down the road...
But for now, this seems to be a way to get a few nice pre's,
with a way to get in optically.

Andrew

I've had mine for a few months now and am quite happy with it. I got the digital output card and feed my 002 via lightpipe. Future plans include maybe a UA 2-610 and a Neve clone into the open A/D. Its a great sounding pre and I like the impedance select. I also run bass thru it with an RNC inserted.

Yep, - one of the best investments the studio have made, - we also got the digi-board..
Its got just the right sound and is used extensively on, well, just about everything..
It deff got colour so dont take it if you are after a neutral pre..

No, - the vocals on on "Don´t Cry" was partially recorded through a Voicemaster Pro, - on "Say You Will" I belive the tracking was done through a humble Mackie VLZ mixer-pre..
There is currently no tracks on the site recorded through the 428.
