Default Nested loop(s)

Hello, I'm new here.

I've been fussing with this all day:

How does one set up a simple loop (like a simple midi drum pattern) and have it repeat continously throughout an entire song.

Looping's no problem, but I can't get the song to run past the loop - i.e. the two are not independent.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Brett
