Pro Tools 9 w/ Complete Production Toolkit 2 003

Does Pro Tools 9 w/ Complete Production toolkit 2 give you 192khz sample rates with 003 rack/ console...or does the interface have to be capable of 192khz sample rates... I don't understand if the software enables the sample rate or the interface.

... If not, am i to understand the mbox 3 pro is capable of hd sample rates and the 003 line isn't. Is there an updated version of the 003 coming out soon?

Sample rate capabilities are completely hardware based. The 003 hardware is not capable of 192kHz sample rates.

Hey tryn2, your interface must be capable of the sample rate you wish to capture audio at. Currently, your 003 goes up to 96khz.

As far as an update for the 003, Im sure their will be one soon, but Im betting on a 004 rather than an updated 003. (That could very well be an updated 003, which is an updated 002, whatever....)

The Mbox 3 Pro indeed can handle those higher sample rates, so I do not see why the new 00 iteration wouldnt.

Either way, I'm still needing a breather from yesterday.
