Coupled with a new dual band TP-Link router it’s pretty much plug and play!
Although I have to have my computer connected to the TP-Link WiFi network for the tablets to connect Eucon (unexpected but makes sense) it seems to be a great step up from the Artist Control.
Thanks Avid!
This is the way. ;-)

I see this is an old thread but what we really need is an S2 or an S1+ that is just a 8 (or more) faders but with led metering beside the faders, like on the S3.

I'm still on a 24 fader D-Command, I have already skipped XMon for MTRX Studio, and moved my main PT screen to on top of the D-Command so it's covering the useless dynamics section and unused master section - I don't need the knobs, but I definitely need 24-32 faders so 3-4x S1 or this new product I'm wishing for, or 3x S1 plus a Dock, possibly. S4 and S6 would have unnecessary knobs and price.

(2x S3 is just slightly wider than the D-Command which would be a problem for me. also.)

So, not interested in the tablet metering (I need my actual DAW screen there, out of the way of the center speaker), but would need led metering beside the faders.

In the meantime have you looked at this?

To Eddie,

How about this feature inside the DAW.

Hi Eddie, thanks - I'm aware but haven't been able to try it as long as I'm on Icon.

But it's not really a solution as pixel space is so precious, especially with PT not scaling at all to 4k. I just upgraded to a 30" 2560x1600 screen and it's a great improvement from 27" 1440p, but I'm not keen on giving those pixels back for metering.

ESPECIALLY as the Windows UI is also so dated, with tens of pixels lost to PT's embarassing 20-year old window-in-window design (also complicating multiple screen use, and not allowing to see the desktop in between PT windows - the only thing I detest about leaving Apple TBH).

It should be leds on the surface plain and simple, and just faders + one row (possibly 2) of knobs (so S1-like but with led metering and with no pad rest / a removable pad rest), in 24-32 fader form.

Also, due to wanting to keep the LR line as unobstructed as possible, I don't go for ultrawide screens either, so that would leave part of 24+faders without metering anyway.

Edit: So, it looks like 3-4x S1 and a possible Dock at some point, but I really, really hope that a minimalist "mid-tier" product like I'm envisioning would be coming instead.

I'm fully aware of this. On S1 we didnt add the meters as the cost was already going to high. It's not just all the LED's but the driver chips, more complicated circuit board etc. that adds significant cost. It would be great to make a middle of the road console.

Right. I know it wouldn't be as fancy a sell (or lucrative, I guess) as S6 or even S4, but especially with S3 phasing out this would be sorely needed.

Also, more and more people are prioritizing ergonomics and acoustics, the S6/S4 style desk is a thing of the past in that sense (at least for a solo operator focusing on a single Window).

I think you'll find a lot of people disagree with that
