Default Sibelius conversion

Is there a way in Pro Tools 12 to convert a Sibelius score to a previous version? I have Sibelius 6.2 installed. It appears from the Pro Tools exported file header that it is Sibelius 7 (the header reads Sibelius 9, which I understand to be version 7). Thanks for any help provided.

I'm afraid no. Good news is Sib 8.0 was just released and the upgrade price is reasonable :)

No good news at all, there is nothing new of importance in Sibelius 8.
Maybe even less than in PT 12. And the same license skam.

Compatibility? I don'tremember which OSX it (sib6) supports but as you have PT12 you use at least 10.8.5 and most likely Mavericks/Yosemite

But with that said I get your point. I began using Sibelius when it was 2.1 and the basic functionality (which is all I use) was perfected back then. Still, I upgraded to the latest.

Music xml both in and out would be preferred for me.
Not using MIDI files when charting for the studio Sid to Pro Tools, Pro Tools to Sib should be the norm.
(Big draw IMO to the Cubase/Nuendo camp)(But I rather Pro tools for now)

for the OP get the Sib demo, export Music XML (Which you should be able to then open in your V6 of sib with the now free Music XML plug-in

Finale, Notion, Cubase, Sibelius All have import and export
