Inactive Instrument track still playing MIDI?? Bug?

So i'm working on a session and can't for the life of me work out why one of my external synth modules is playing audio.

Turns out, the Midi track of an INACTIVE Instrument track is still PLAYING MIDI?! This can't be right??

This kind of thing has to be expected if you are on the first release. I have problems where one instrument track midi is playing the next. Then sometimes I cannot get the instrument to sound at all. Just restart PT9 and it usually sorts itself out.

How on earth can that be considered NORMAL??

A track set to INACTIVE should be exactly that... INACTIVE! You shouldnt need to be concerned about whether it is playing or not if it is set to inactive.
