Default PT2018.1 - Disable Tab to MIDI note end?

With PT18, tabbing MIDI notes (with tab to transients on), each press of the tab key tabs to the beginning and end of each note. Is there anyway to revert to the old behavior where it only tabbed to the beginning of each note?

The new way makes tabbing through drum triggers very time consuming.

The arrow keys are now used as a "select next midi note" Do not use the tab key for midi notes.

You'll have to be in Notes view(not Clips view) for the Left/Right Arrows to select the MIDI notes. This solution won't necessarily work with some of the common Tab to Transient editing workflows unfortunately, but give it a go and see if it will meet your needs. I myself do a lot of grouped audio/MIDI editing using Tab to Transient, which the Left/Right arrow command won't suffice in those situations, but it may work in your specific use case.

hi Shane, thank you for the Clarity .. yes, i was testing in Clips View .. will check out notes view ..

i have seen a few folks complain about losing this function with the NEw Tab in Midi seeing both on and off parts of Midi notes and wanted to see if there is a solution for them ...

cheers john
