Omnisphere GUI freezes in PT11

Hi, I was wondering if anyone else encountered these issues...

Whenever I launch an instance of Omnisphere in Pro Tools 11, its GUI will freeze sooner or later. The clicks and drags are still recognised but the UI doesn't redraw. The only temporary solution is to close/re-open the plug-in window. Then, after a short while the UI freezes up again. This happens all the time and only with Omnisphere (other thirdparty plugins I'm using don't freeze). Omnisphere is fully up-to-date.

Eventually, after a while of continuing this game, PT will crash, obviously due to Omnisphere.

I couldn't find any other info about this particular issue so far. My system is Pro Tools 11 running on Mac OSX 10.9.1, on a Macbook Pro 3GHz Core i7 with 8GB RAM. I'm using a Mackie Onyx 1640i as the audio interface (actually using an aggregate device with the Onyx and Focursrite Scarlett in it but the Onyx is main).

I've read elsewhere that on Mac disabling hyperthreading might help Pro Tools with some issues. Is this still even relevant with newer PT versions?

Omnisphere no problem here on the system in my sig file. I've had session with upwards of a half dozen instances of Omnisphere on as many Instrument tracks and it's been cool. Now there are some patches that will stress my system. I only had one crash of PT11 but that was because I was trying to see how far I could push things before having it crash. Got to a dozen instances of Omnisphere when that happened.

Same issue .. I did contact the technical support and they are looking into it :) I'll let you know their reply :)

Same problem here....
It started when I updated to OSX Mavericks. I've downgraded back to Mountain Lion and problem solved.

Yea but that is not a solution ... Spectrasonics should release an update and I think now they know .. :)

Remember that those that live on the bleeding edge are doomed to get cut by it. If I were anyone that has a Mac with Mavericks I'd invest in getting Mountain Lion from Apple and wait until software houses have their collective acts together with supporting Mavericks.

I've had the same problem - was able to stave it off by deselecting the little red button in the top right hand corner of Omnisphere. Let me know if that works for anyone!

Tried it ... Freezes occur less but still exist

The target button should have nothing to do with the problem people are having. All that really does is allow having more than one plugin window gui open at a time.
