Default Addictive Drums Update Warning

For those of you using Addictive Drums and contemplating updating to 1.5 DON'T DO IT.

When you open a pre 1.5 track you will hear the default kit. Your settings for that song are gone
This cost me a days work today.

I have informed them and it seems I am not alone. I think I am going to have to revert to the old version which is a PITA.
But not as bad as what I went through today.
I have so many sessions with Addictive.
Anyway be warned.

It depends on the track. Anything folky or folk/rock or a little Indi Rock or just not main stream I'll start with Addictive. Also the grooves are a great starting point.
Somewhere in the production of the track I'll switch to Superior and see if I get a vibe from it.
Lately I have and I've ended up using Superior on almost the whole last album. The Avatar Kit is a good one for me. Then I will augment the Kick and the Snare with DTM.
Addictive is also great for those crunched up grooves in breakdowns etc.
It's a little left of the middle.
The other thing is that apart from this current problem it has been 100% bug free and has a small RTAS footprint.
I will often use Superior and Addictive in the same track......just for a Tom or Cymbal set.
I don't really use RMX for drums anymore. Mainly loops and 9Volt guitar stuff.
Those samples save me many hours!

You're right about the 9v stuff. I've decided never to use it again.
What self respecting guitar player would use someone else's sounds?
.....and probably not even a real amp...........or microphone thingy.
You must be joking.
Stupid other persons loops.
That's just sick.
Talk about lazy.
Whatever happened to pride.
Pride and skill.
Pride, skill and self respect.

How am I doing?

I noticed the same problem and also informed them.
They have a fix coming out next week for this issue and they mailed it to me so if anyone needs it desperately I can mail it.

According to their support it is just the plugin file that is changed, so if you have the old plugin version somewhere, just put it back in and remove the new one.

They have a fix and it works.

If its not available yet on Sunday it should be forthcoming. I was in your boat and they sent a beta fix my way. It worked fine thank God.
