help new mac user
a friend told me i needed to upload some updates in order to run ptle 6.1 on my new mag g5. there are so many. any idea which runs to run

Since you say your Mac is new, you're probably running some version of Tiger (Mac OS 10.4.x). You'll need at least version 6.9.2 to get up and running on that OS. However, there's a paid upgrade in there at some point, around 6.7 or 6.9, and if you're going to have to spend $75, you might as well get ProTools 7 instead, as it's the lastest n' greatest.
If you post your system specs, we can make sure you don't have any other brimming incompatibilities that could cause you problems. Things to post include; Computer speed/type, amount of RAM, Mac OS version, PTLE version, and Digi interface being used. |
