Default QT7/DVD Player + Tiger + Digicoreaudio = no sound?

So yeah, I'm on the latest version of tiger, using the new digi core audio driver for tiger, and I'm trying to watch a movie with the DVD player.

no only will I not get sound, but the movie also doesn't play back properly.

it stutters and stops and is totally unwatchable this has been an ongoing problem for me with the digi driver, I'd also like to add that when I switch back to default core audio, it plays back fine....

this can also happen with Quicktime but not as often.

I'm using a MBox 1 if that matters.

thank GOD somebody else is having core audio problems. I feel like the only A*****e posting on here. No system audio (DVD, itunes etc.) works here except logic and pro tools. I even uninstalled PT and did a fresh install of tiger os and tried standalone driver. 10.4.2, 6.9.2 cs3. NUFFING!

When's that update coming to the bundled PT 6.9.2 cs3 river????

ok got it working. try uninstalling PT with the installer, then uninstall core audio driver. Be very thorough- choose clean uninstall.

Then reinstall everything....update to cs3...repair permissions...and hopefully you're good to go.
