Default Static on recorded tracks

This has come up before (in fact I've posted about it before) with no resolution but now it's back and it's worse than before. Now not only do I hear it during playback, but it's also in a bounced file (see link below).

I'm playing back/bouncing with the max buffer size (1024) - I know that when I play back with lower buffer sized I hear a lot of static. I think I recorded this with a low buffer and all plugins made inactive. I do have two lightweight plugins on my Master track/bus (Tonal Balance Control and Insight Pro both from Izotope).

Any clues about what could be going on? I'm running Windows 10 on a PC with 32GB memory and an Intel i9 processor. This is version 2021.7.

Sample (.mp3) sound with static:

Doesn't sound like static to me. I don't think you should be looking for answers in PT, buffers, plugins and so on. Rather this must be coming from the guitar, cable, pedals, interface. You should be systematically troubleshooting your recording chain for a source of the problem. And deselect "Ignore errors during playback" in setup menu. It reminds me slightly of sample rate mis-match noise - are you using more than one AD in your input? Please give us more system details.

It's not coming from my recording chain as this is only on one group of tracks (8 tracks recorded in 4 takes with two mics on the cabinet (SM57 and Sennheiser e909)). I used the same setup to record 3 other groups of guitars and none of them has this issue. I basically go from my guitar -> amp -> two mics -> (one directly into a Focusrite 4i4 and the other through a Capi VP28 Pre-amp and then to the Focusrite) -> computer/PT.

Ignore Errors During Playback/Record is not checked.

What are you looking for beyond what I've already stated:

Windows 10 on a PC with 32GB memory and an Intel i9 processor
PT version 2021.7
SM57 and Sennheiser e909
Focusrite 4i4
Capi VP28 Pre-amp

What else is there?

Sandra report.

Motherboard? System controller? All chipsets are not created equal nor do they perform equally.

Have you installed LatencyMon and monitored your system?

OK - I'll try to be more specific.

Before I do that I want to mention that this problem seems to have gone away for the most part. I hear static now and then but it's no longer throughout several recorded tracks. So while I initially thought this problem was something that I had intermittently and had gotten worse. now we're just back to intermittent. But when it's bad it's BAD! So I really would like to figure out why this is happening.

I don't know what motherboard is in my PC. I bought it as a Lenovo. It's an IdeaCentre T540-15ICK G. It came with an intel i5 but I upgraded to an i9-9900 running at 3.1GHz.

The storage is a 500 GB Samsung V-Nand SSD 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2.

Video card is an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti.
2 ACER 32 inch Monitors - 1 connected via HDMI the other Display Port.

As I mentioned before:

32GB RAM
Windows 10 Build 19042.1165
PT version 2021.7
SM57 and Sennheiser e909
Focusrite 4i4 (connected via USB)
Capi VP28 Pre-amp

System controller? I'm pretty well versed in computers and even I have not heard of that as a separate unit.

Before someone blasts me for using an SSD as my primary (and only drive) I use an online backup service that gives me access to all of my data for the past 30 days, so reliability/durability isn't an issue. If that could be causing the static I'd want to know that though. The PC did come with SATA HD, but I unplugged it to save power after upgrading to the i9. I could certainly plug that in and try putting my data there. The system drive (where PT is installed) is SSD and there's nothing I can do about that.

I hadn't heard of LatencyMon. I'll definitely give that a try.

I can't run a Sandra report. I get Error (8112) Generic error!

I read through the Avid Help Us Help You link and found that I had Turbo Boost on in my BIOS which Avid suggests that you turn off. Turning that off seems to have helped, but I still hear a pop every 10-20 seconds.

I downloaded and ran the LatencyMon and everything is green. It reports no issues.

Thanks,
Ben

What plugins are on the tracks? Any demo plugins? If I had to guess I'd say it's intersample peaks going over 0dB and subsequent audio playing them.
