Default Have you gotten TL Space to work with PT9?

I have tried a few different ways to re-install TL Space with PT9, and I have yet to get it to work.

I have a valid ILok licence from MPTK days. I have gotten most of those plugins to work, This one is giving me problems.

If you HAVE gotten Space to work, would you kindly let me know how you did it. Which exact version you installed, and any hint, or unusual things you had to do?

I am most appreciative.

Make sure that you are using the latest version. I use it in WIn7 and in OSX with no problems.

Default Got it going!!!!

Thank you mlemos!

I was trying to use a version for PT8.03 or whatever; (the "latest").

Then plain jane PT8 version you suggested installed nicely, but of course without any impulses. after some dead end things, I pulled out my XP installer of the Impulse Library, and by gosh it got things where they were supposed to be. Have 90% of what I used to have, and not as many (or none) of those cool (yes I like them) photos of the halls and churches. Visual cues for keeping the various reverbs straight if nothing else.

MAN, I LOVE the way that TL Space sounds!!!! So clean, natural. Pristine.
I have discovered how much of "my sound" is dependent on that reverb's sound. A medium hall, or church does well with my stuff.

Just for the heck of it; may i solicit any comments you might have as to any other reverb that sounds anything like Space?? I hate to have all my eggs in one basket of somewhat unsupported software. Perhaps AVID will get some V9 versions of these MPTK plugs someday. I hope. Please.

In theory, any convolution reverb should sound the same, if you use the same impulse response files. There are several good reverbs. AltiVerb is killer by all reports. Waves has IR-1(these are both convolution reverbs). Then there's the Lexicon reverbs, IK Classik reverbs are quite decent. 112db's RedLine reverb is nice.

Breverb has also been a good workhorse around here.

Hi Tedcanman,
Is there a link to the xp installer that works for the impulse library as I have been very unsuccessful in getting the impulse library to install from within TL Space
Thanks
Hayesland

I've always used Oxford Reverb. I have two licenses for TL-Space so I tried it recently (post PT9), but for the life of me couldn't figure out how to load the impulse libraries. I gave up just thinking it was to complicated. After reading this I'll just try again and be more conscientious.

Click on the double chevron, (>>), near the top right of the TL Space window to show additional items.. Click on Edit, then on Install TL Space IR Library, or Import other IR folder (and select where the folder is located).

Time consuming, but it works.
