Having trouble using my CASIO CTK-691 with pro tools midi. My PC is seeing the MIDI connection from the keyboard but is unresponsive when it comes to receiving data. don't know what to do can someone help?

I'll try. Your PC sees the connection but is unresponsive - can you be more specific? What indicates that it sees it, and what MIDI device is unresponsive?

Have you gone to(in Pro Tools) Setup>Midi>Midi Studio and added the Casio as a midi "instrument"? The crucial setting in the window, once you create a new "instrument" is the Input Path. Assuming you installed the driver for the Casio, that setting should show it on a very short list. It will likely look something like "Casio CTK0691 on USB[Emulated]"(without the quotes).

Why it adds the "[Emulated]" is a mystery to me, but I see the same with my Akai Advance61 and it works fine.

My favorite way to test this after doing the setup is to create a stereo instrument track>insert MiniGrand>let the plugin load>put the track into record-ready and play the keyboard.
