Avid S3 LED out/gone/blank/dull

Hi,

I have the S3, latest combo update installed and firmware is up-to-date.

Displays on channels 10 and 16 are dull to the point of being more or less illegible.

Despite never having made any changes to displays, I've done the LED reset, but to no avail - they are basically blank (10 worse than 16, but it's getting there).

Any ideas if this is something fixable at my end?

Does the same old trick work with the S3 that works with the D-Command and D-Control? Their displays are just socketed similar to ICs. Given them a firm press down often brings faded or 'dying' ones back to life.
