Default Thanks Avid!

Like the app. First couple of hours, it works pretty well. Lots of ideas about what to add (BIG soft key mode?). But nice thing to have.

It needs an offline demo mode also.

Go ahead and start a conversation about what you like and what we can improve. We are listening.

This first app is what we consider a minimum viable product. We plan to add features and functionality over time as we learn from you.

Also feel free to post on Ideascale and get votes.

Now that Pro Tools | Control is out we are in part prioritizing future EuControl releases based on Ideascale feedback...direct to backlog.

EUCON was designed for one control unit.

Remember, Artist Series shipped in 2007. The only competition was the Mackie Control, and we followed the design paradigm of one master and multiple peripheral products, albeit a step up as the peripherals can operate as independent units.

JC,

I have another post in the PT 12 forum where I do a loose review/comparison to V-Control. Surely, PTC, is a step in the right direction. The one thing I was surprised not to see was the ability to easily create a new Playlist.

This is a feature that is also missing from V-Control, and would be a game changer for me. As a producer and singer/songwriter, I find myself in the artist seat and these controllers are ideal. The only issue is the inability to quickly create a new playlist to maintain the session vibe when working solo. Also, accurate metering with DBFS displayed would be helpful when getting sounds for drums.

I had some issues with Eucon disconnecting after the system was idle for a bit, but I haven't done further testing to confirm its consistency.

Cheers

They're not perfect, but an Apple Wireless keyboard will let you hit ctrl-slash+return to do that. Bluetooth goes remarkably far.

You could also create a command in EuControl for that on one of the Pro Tools | Control soft keys.

Oh man...all this time that was the shortcut!!! Shoot! I used a wireless keyboard until I got V-Control so that I could do other things.

Maybe I'll give it another shot tonight.
