I would hazard a guess that the Mix Rack wont support more Analog inputs. This is because i presume the hardware inside a Mix Rack is essentially the same as a single Snake Card (in FOH rack speak). In which case, this is limited to 48/48. Quite possibly because Avid use an adapted MADI protocol for their Snake system whereby they need the other '16 channels' to carry control and monitoring data streams...
