Default start up problem

Hi,
i do not exactly know if my question is protools related but here it is:
since a couple of days my computer (power tower pro) with 32 track pci system (16bit)
randomly shuts down...sometimes right after turning it on ( 0.5 seconds after turning it on) sometimes it starts up okay and then shuts down in the middle of a pro tools session...especially when there is no activity.

can it be software related with the system or hardware related..like a card is not working correctly and shutting the computer down. I don't know how fast the cards are scanned during start up..right away?

thank you for your help and input...maybe someone had the same problem

hendrik
