Default G5 2.7 still viable for PT 7.4?

Looks like I'm going to have to do a stop gap to a g5 for my pci hd3 rig.... can anyone tell me how their 2.7 is performing with 7.4? solid? underpowered?

how much ram would be preferrable?

thanks!

7.4cs4 HD3 is working fine here.
Mac Dual 2.7 6gb apple ram twin 400gb internals and FW 800's for audio.
OS 10.4.11 (Stay with 10.4.9 if 4.11 is not needed for other apps)
BTW I have 2 of these, both fine.

Also I have a FW800 Leopard 10.5.2 boot running 7.4.1 (Unsupported)
The AIT X850XT Video card needed an Apple graphics update for Quartz to work.
(Waves 5.9.7 needed)
Lost 3 plug sets in Leopard. Original Ampfarm, EmagicPlugInCollectionTDMOSX and TC Tools.

PS Cautious note: If buying used be sure to check inside for any coolant leakage. There are reports of early 2.7 models with heat-pump leaks. Should be easy to see (Although I haven't but I did look and it would be at the bottom inside of the case.

I'm still running with a G4 867 Mhz on 7.4 and all is very well!!

Can even have Expand running without drop outs.

Running 44kHz & 48khz session only

I have a lowly DUal 2ghz with 6GB RAM and it is fine with 7.4 so far.
With HD3 accel I don't need to do a lot of native processing.
