Exactly what brand and model are your RX570?
It's pretty complicated as there are many cards with almost the same name, mine is this one:

https://www.sapphiretech.com/en/cons...se-rx-570-8gd5

Named on the Sapphire website as: PULSE RX 570 8GD5
Make sure it's NOT the PULSE RX 570 8G G5
and NOT the PULSE RX 570 8G G5 HDMI DP

On the box it says:
EAN 4895106289420
SKU 11266-78-20G

AFAIK this is one of the very few metal compatible cards, able to run under High Sierra (you need to install High Sierra with your old GPU and then insert this one), and with a single 6 pin connector.

I paid under 200 euro's few months ago, but due to the crypto mayhem these are all out of stock or over 600 euros each.

Those two slot cards doesn’t fry the HDX cards?

I see.
The reason for me to get a Metal compatible gpu would be to run Mojave or higher.

It's the same reason for me, I just don't want to update unless I absolutely have to and with this card I will be prepared.

Currently I’m still using my Mac Pro Mid 2010 with macOS Mojave, HDX, PT Ultimate 2021.3.1 and HD I/O.

Still a solid system.

Still on my maxed out 2010 cheesegrater with an updated vid card for Mojave and an HD Native card. Works like a champ with the latest Pro Tools. I will upgrade to M1x when software works with it. Probably at least 1 year away.

Hi, i just installed Mojave with MSI RX 560 on 5,1 12 core 2,93. Unfortunately i found out that many applications launch approx 1.5 times longer then on HS. More of trouble, after installing 3 HDX cards applications like DigiTest or PT take forever to launch. Anybody have seen this behavior?
