compacting files and clearing unused regions
What's the difference between compacting an audio file and clearing unused regions? The reason I ask is because Iv'e done both on a session but when I go into my audio files folder I see audio files that are not in my session. How can I solve this also?

Re: compacting files and clearing unused regions
If I am not mistaken, compacting files is just compressing them so that they do not take up disk space for your session and you can have access to them at a later date if you have a take that you think was better than the one you overdubbed in its place on your playlist. Clearing Unused regions also on the other hand is where you physically clear the audio files which have been populated to your play list that you no longer want to save in the session or have for later use on your playlist.
