Default PT quits when selecting long delay compensation

This just happened today. It seems to work fine with the smaller delay compensation or none but when i select the long delay compensation and hit ok. it closes my session and does not open it up again. when i go to open the session manual PT quits. After a restart i tried to put long dly comp back on again. the program responded the same way, closed the session and did not reopen it. so i attempted to open it manually and i got a Kernal panic. Anyone else having these types of problems? I mean this is happening on a New G5 dual 2 Ghz with 2.5 Gb RAM. the firmware is up to date and the this a fresh install of the program...any help is appreciated..thanks....

specs:
G5 dual 2Ghz
2.5 GB RAM
OS X.3.5
PT 6.4
HD3 (192's)

Hello,

Have you tried the larest CS update for 6.4?

If that fails try a fresh install of PT.. Use the install CD and select custom/uninstall then re-boot then re-install PT and then do the latest cs update for 6.4.

Pro Tools TDM 6.4cs9 for HD Systems on Mac OS X under downloads/cs updates etc

If all this fails!! then give a detailed list of everything!!? and DUC people will help i'm sure!!

Regards

Chris
