Default CPU spike with SRC, v.7, Powerbook 1.25?

Hello.

Just started playing around with v.7 and the new toys that I got with it. So far so good (great, actually) with everything EXCEPT:

The Slightly Rude Compressor is very tempermental. It consistently spikes the CPU the first time I press play and I can't get PT to play again until I reset the DAE by changing something in DAE Setup. Then it'll work for a little while, but spike again when I'm playing with its controls, again forcing a DAE reset. Sometimes it just spikes on its own when I'm playing back and stops playback but I can hit play again and it'll work.

Now that I think of it, Smack! LE is also a little quirky. It'll stick right after I instantiate it, but after pressing play a time or 2 the meters will kick on and it'll work normally.

Nothing about my system has changed except upgrading to v.7 and installing these plugs. Everything else about v.7 is pheneomenal.

Anyone else experiencing this? Suggestions?

System specs: PowerBook G4, 1.25g w/ 1.25g ram. OS 10.4.2. I also just noticed that the internal drive is pretty full, as well. I'll clear that up and see if it makes a difference.

Thanks,
Chris

Did you download the v7 version of the plug-ins? I chose Smack! as one of mine, and it's functioning fine, but on the download page there were links for both older versions for PT6.x compatibility and new ones for PT7 - make sure you downloaded and installed the PT7 version.

Thanks, slim.

Yup. Got both versions and installed only V.7 version. Double checked, too, when it started acting funny.

I'll go through the troubleshooting routine for OSX and see if I missed anything the first time around. Most likely something screwy on my machine if no one else is experienceing this.

Take care,
Chris
